Working across news and media, I’ve built a strong track record as a photographer, videographer, and picture editor - producing freelance content for the BBC, ITV, local newspapers, and international agencies such as Reuters, among others. I also contribute editorial images to Alamy and have worked as a staff member on the visuals team at the Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Life.
Alongside this, I run Derry Footage, an online media platform with a strong focus on visuals that evolves with the changing media landscape. Covering local news, community life, culture, music, and the arts, I capture moments as they happen - quickly, accurately, and with impact. Its online following exceeds 40,000, while its content reaches millions of people across Northern Ireland.
I work to the highest journalistic standards, with a clear understanding of legal and ethical obligations, including NUJ guidelines. I’m trusted to deliver accurate, compelling, and impactful visuals across fast-moving print, digital, and broadcast environments, balancing speed, precision, and editorial judgement under pressure.
In addition to my news work, I support a diverse range of clients - from nonprofits and entrepreneurs to established local businesses - in enhancing their digital presence through visual content creation, strategy, and social media. I take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach, guiding projects from concept to final production, including planning, filming, editing, and scheduling. Many clients have limited time or resources, and I provide the expertise and equipment needed to deliver high-quality content that stands out.
