Working across news and editorial environments, I’ve built a strong track record as a photographer, videographer, and picture editor - delivering content to a wide range of news organisations as a freelancer, and also previously serving as a staff member on the visuals team at the Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Life. I also own Derry Footage, a social media platform focused on sharing news and stories from Derry/Londonderry. My role has involved covering breaking news, high-risk incidents, and in-depth features across print, digital, and broadcast. I operate with a clear understanding of legal and ethical standards, and I’m trusted to deliver fast, accurate, and impactful visuals in high-pressure environments.
In addition to my work in news, I also support a diverse range of clients - spanning nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and established local businesses - in enhancing their digital presence through expert visual content creation, content strategy, and social media. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented. I guide clients from concept through to final production, managing all stages including planning, filming, editing, and scheduling. Many clients come to me with limited time or resources, and I provide the professional expertise and equipment necessary to deliver high-quality content that cuts through the noise.
For me, visuals go beyond aesthetics. Authenticity and value are at the core of my work, whether in journalism or client collaborations. I aim to create content that not only looks good but also delivers quality, creativity, and an emotional connection.
